The Sailing School for Students Program

The goal of Discover Sailing India is to introduce, create and promote a sailing culture in India. With sports other than cricket gaining impetus in India, the sailing community has been gaining even more recognition over the years. We facilitate and encourage the future of India to be part of this internationally recognized sporting community through the Sailing School For Students (SSS) program.

The aims of the program are:

  • To make sailing a popular sport for young Indians
  • To teach children a new sport and skills that will last a lifetime
  • To foster teamwork, self- discipline and enhanced communication in each child
  • To find and promote young talent on a national and international level

Each student would need to complete a certain number of hours on the water i.e. sea time. SSS gives each student the opportunity and flexibility to achieve this goal. We have multiple instructors conducting the program. Classes can be arranged between 6 am to 6 pm, any of the 7 days in a week.

Students will receive a Sailing Instruction book and will be kept informed of their individual progress throughout the course.

Based on performance, students will be given opportunities to participate in national and international sailing competitions.

After successful completion of the program, each student will get a certificate from the Yachting Association of India (YAI).
